Former First Lady Melania Trump has reportedly been leading a ‘strange’ and ‘isolated’ life, with members of the private Mar-a-Lago club where she resides wondering where she is.
Ex-President Donald Trump’s wife ‘rarely exists Mar-a-Lago’ these days, Laurence Leamer, who wrote a book on the resort, told The Telegraph on Monday.
‘Nobody knows where she is,’ said Leamer. ‘It’s like a mystery. It’s certainly talked about.’

The Trumps live ‘right off the main hall’ at the club in Palm Beach, Florida, said Leamer, who published Mar-a-Lago: Inside the Gates of Power at Donald Trump’s Presidential Palace in 2019. But members have apparently been seeing Melania less frequently.
‘It’s a strange, isolated life they have in that place,’ said Leamer, who was banned from Mar-a-Lago due to his reports.
Melania was not seen in a video circulating social media of Trump having a Christmas Eve dinner with his fans at Mar-a-Lago.
Trump on Christmas Day posted an image of himself holding hands with Melania surrounded by holiday trees and with the message: ‘Merry Christmas.’
Meanwhile, Melania shared a generic holiday image on X (formerly Twitter) that read: ‘Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.’
Melania did make a rare appearance earlier this month at the National Archives, where she gave a keynote address at a naturalization ceremony. She detailed her ‘arduous’ path to citizenship to 25 new American citizens and of ‘actively participating in the democratic process and guarding our freedom’. Her message seemed to contradict her husband’s plans to crack down on immigration if he returns to the White House.
In late November, Melania assumed her role in the former first ladies club and attended Rosalynn Carter’s tribute service.
While Melania has been absent on her husband’s campaign trail, that may reportedly change after the New Yeaer. A source told Page Six on Monday that the ex-president has ‘reached an agreement with Melania to step up top-tier diplomatic appearances in 2024’.
Leamer and the Trump campaign did not immediately respond to requests for comment from Metro.co.uk.
