Flooding, damage and high winds in wake of Storm Ciarán
Storm Ciarán hit the UK on Thursday, battering the south coast of England and the Channel Islands.
Dozens of flood warnings remain in place across the UK as the after-effects of the storm continue to be felt.
The storm hit the UK with heavy rain and wins of up to 100mph on Thursday.
It knocked out power to thousands of homes, closed schools and damaged property and rail lines.
As the storm moves on, extreme weather will continue with downpours and very strong winds will affect Scotland and parts of northern England.
Elsewhere, large areas of Tuscany have been hit by flooding, leaving five people dead and several others missing, as heavy winds and rain smacked central Italy.
