The back page of the Daily Mirror leads on Manchester United’s win over Crystal Palace. “Just in case you were worried…” Manchester United fans – Casemiro provides the lead image following the Brazil midfielder’s goal and assist in the Red Devils’ 3-0 win at home to Crystal Palace in the EFL Cup third round.

The back page also reports on Manchester City taking the bus home – with City boss Pep believing it could cost the champions the title. The paper describes Pep Guardiola’s comments as the “excuse of the season so far”.

There is also a line on the kit story: “The sweat shirts that bother Villa” after Aston Villa players were “moaning” that their kit is “too heavy and uncomfortable”.
