A Driffield local is especially thankful for his mum today, after she scooped him a prize sum.
Kieran Wright, 25, decided to take the plunge and buy his first property last year, moving out from his mum and dad’s house.
To celebrate the move, mum Tracey, 53, decided to sign up Kieran’s new address to People’s Postcode Lottery.
And as luck would have it, Kieran, alongside nine of his neighbours, landed the jackpot – a share of an eye-watering £3.2 million.
Kieran will now find those mortgage payments even easier, having won £123,076.

Speaking about the win, Kieran explained: ‘I moved out of my mum and dad’s back in October last year and my mum just dropped into conversation that she was going to sign me up for the lottery.
‘I’m going to split it with mum because it’s all down to her. Ta mum!’
With his half of his winnings, Kieran is hoping to travel to Rome to watch the Ryder Cup.
‘I took up golf in lockdown and fell in love with it,’ he says. ‘I’d talked about how great it would be to watch the Ryder Cup, and now I can book up to go.’
Meanwhile, mum-of-two Tracey, who works at the local chippy, has big plans with her newly acquired £60,000.

As well as buying herself a new electric bike, to counter the poor parking in town, Tracey is hoping her half of the money will make her 25th wedding anniversary and daughter’s wedding even more special.
‘We’d already planned a holiday to Menorca in September for Steve and I’s anniversary, so we’ll need to save some celebrating until then,’ she explains.
‘I might treat my daughter Toni – Kieran’s twin sister – to a free bar at her wedding!’
Other winners include Tracy Braithwaite. The emotional mum-of-two was stunned to land the win, just six months after she cancelled her kids’ dream holiday to pay for major flooding repairs.
Now, the 40-year-old is thrilled to be able to move back into her own house, and reschedule the Florida Disney adventure.
