Erik ten Hag is willing to sell six Manchester United players before the transfer window shuts to fund a £30m move for Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, according to reports.
United have bolstered Ten Hag’s squad at Old Trafford this summer with the signings of England midfielder Mason Mount and Cameroon goalkeeper Andre Onana.
The Red Devils are also closing in on a deal for Atalanta forward Rasmus Hojlund, but Ten Hag is still interested in bringing a new midfielder to the club.
United were linked with a move for Declan Rice before the ex-West Ham captain completed a £105m move to Arsenal and are said to be admirers of Amrabat.
The 26-year-old has developed into one of Fiorentina’s most important players, helping the club reach the Europa Conference League final last season, and starred for Morocco at the Qatar World Cup.
But, according to The Guardian, Manchester United’s move for Amrabat is dependent on player sales, with Ten Hag ready to sanction the departures of Harry Maguire, Fred, Donny van de Beek, Dean Henderson, Anthony Martial and Scott McTominay.
West Ham have expressed interest in signing Maguire and McTominay, although their initial offers for the duo are short of United’s valuation.

Fred, Donny van de Beek and Martial could all also be sold before the transfer window closes, while Henderson is hoping to leave after United spent almost £50m on new goalkeeper Onana.
While Ten Hag is keen to welcome Amrabat to Old Trafford, former Manchester United defender Mikael Silvestre admits he is ‘not overwhelmed’ by the speculation.
‘Unless Scott [McTominay] or Fred leaves this summer, then there’s no room for Sofyan at the moment, but things can change between now and the end of the transfer window,’ he told GGRecon.
‘We just need to wait and see in this particular case. He’s evidently a good player but in all honesty, I’m not overwhelmed with that link.’
