More Greek island villages and towns are in danger of being damaged by wildfires, with warnings issued to locals and holidaymakers on Corfu.
The country’s emergency communications service said several places in the north-east of the Ionian island were being evacuated as the blaze bears down.
People in Santa, Megoula, Porta, Palia Perithia and Sinies have been told to travel to the coastal village of Kassiopi.
A video posted on Twitter appears to show a hilltop near the coast of the island, which is located east of the Greek mainland, aglow with flames.
The warning comes after devastating wildfires on Rhodes led to thousands of tourists seeking to get off the island as quickly as possible.
Jet2 and Tui are not running flights to the island as the blazes spread, while package holiday company Thomas Cook has cancelled a number of trips.
Airline easyJet has announced it will operate three repatriation flights from Rhodes on Monday and Tuesday.
Passengers criticised the company after dozens of them were forced to sleep on the floor of the airport as they waited for a flight that was delayed for more than 18 hours.
