Holly Willoughby is reported to ‘likely’ be getting a pay rise (Picture: ITV/Shutterstock)
Holly Willoughby is reportedly set to sign a lucrative new contract to presentThis Morning in a bid to save the ITV show.
There has been speculation the Wylde Moon founder, 42, would quit the long-running programme following the fallout from Phillip Schofield, 61, admitting to lying about an affair with runner.
Further fuel was added to the fire when the Dancing On Ice presenter simply signed off her final show before her summer break in Portugal with ‘See you, bye’, failing to announce her return, which she has done in previous years.
However, Metro.co.uk understands that Holly has no plans to leave This Morning.
Other reports suggest, in fact, the presenter is poised to renew her contract for the show and is ‘likely’ to command a pay rise on top of her current salary, which is rumoured to be around £700,000 per year.

A source told the Daily Mail: ‘Holly is going back. People have been saying she won’t for some time now but she is.
‘ITV want her back, and they are delighted she has agreed. It will be made official shortly but it will save This Morning, it will ease a huge crisis that they are in.
‘It most probably would have been game over for them if Holly had left.’

This Morning began grabbing the headlines when it was reported that Holly and Phil, her co-presenter since 2009, were ‘barely speaking’ and their relationship had cooled behind the scenes.
Days later, Phil quit This Morning and later sensationally resigned from all his ITV projects including hosting the British Soap Awards, after confessing to lying about the ‘unwise but not illegal.’
After Phil’s exit, Holly took a break from the show and upon her return said was ‘shaken, troubled, let down’ and ‘full of questions’ in a now widely-mocked statement.

She has since been predominantly presenting This Morning alongside Craig Doyle, 52, until ITV confirms Phillip’s permanent replacement.
This Morning was also hit by accusations of ‘toxicity’ on set by the likes of former stars Dr Ranj Singh and Eamonn Holmes, with the former claiming he was managed out when he raised concerns with ITV bosses.
ITV chief executive Carolyn McCall later addressed claims about the culture at the programme during a parliamentary committee.
Shooting down the accusations, she said: ‘What I know is that when we talk about culture it’s incredibly important to me, personally and so it deeply disappoints me, right?
‘But we do not recognise that in This Morning and the reason for that is that we have tangible evidence to tell you that the vast majority of people at daytime and at This Morning are engaged.
After Dr Ranj made his allegations public, ITV insisted it had a ‘robust duty of care’ towards its staffers in a letter penned by McCall.

In the wide-ranging message, she addressed Dr Ranj’s claims and says the network was ‘sorry’ to read his statement.
