The Guardian reports taxpayers are to set to fund a 45% pay rise for the Royal Family despite the cost of living crisis. 

The paper reports plans to boost annual public funding of the monarchy by 45% from 2025 – from £86m to £125m. The rise was reported in a review of royal funding published by the Treasury, the paper says.
