This Morning’s Josie Gibson has reportedly been offered a huge six-figure sum for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in a bid to lure her away from Strictly Come Dancing.
ITV bosses are said to have beaten off competition from Strictly chiefs to land the former Big Brother star, 38, for this year’s series.
Following in the footsteps of Jill Scott and Mike Tindall, the ‘incredibly down to earth’ star is expected to bring plenty of laughs to the jungle.
A source revealed: ‘Josie is hugely popular with This Morning viewers and producers were determined to get her.
‘She is seen as the perfect person for the jungle as she’s already such a familiar face on ITV and will bring her fanbase with her.
‘She’s incredibly down-to-earth and seems to strike a cord with people at home.
‘Plus they’re confident Josie will bring the laughs to I’m A Celebrity as she already does on This Morning and is guaranteed to get on with most of the jungle campmates.’

The insider continued to The Sun: ‘For all those reasons they were hellbent on getting her.
‘And if she was lured by the glitter of Strictly, they weren’t going to let her go without a fight.’
The source also added that Josie had a ‘real dilemma’ over the battle between the two hit competitions, but it appears the jungle has won the race.
They added: ‘She knows both shows are hugely popular with the public and have the potential to boost anyone’s career who appears on them.’
Josie, who has stepped in hosting This Morning alongside Holly Willoughby after Phillip Schofield sensationally quit, rose to fame when she won Big Brother in 2010.

She was recently rumoured to have been ‘in talks’ with I’m A Celebrity bosses for a £100,000 contract.
The show’s biggest paycheck is rumoured to have been given to Boy George in the last series of I’m A Celebrity, which saw Lioness Jill crowned Queen of the jungle.
Ahead of his stint on the show, the Culture Club legend was reported to have scooped $1million (£879,000) to take part.
Meanwhile, former health secretary Matt Hancock had been paid £320,000 for 30 days work in the jungle, after reports suggested the final amount could reach £400,000.
The BBC declined to comment and an ITV spokesperson told Metro.co.uk: ‘Any names suggested for I’m A Celebrity are just speculation.’
Metro.co.uk has also Josie’s reps for comment.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1.
