Alison Hammond has hilariously responded to a backhanded compliment on social media after being told someone had come around to the idea of liking her.
The This Morning presenter, 48, first came to public attention all the way back in 2002 when she appeared on the third season of Big Brother.
In the two decades since, she’s gone on to appear in I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, Strictly Come Dancing, Celebrity MasterChef, and is one of the new co-hosts on The Great British Bake Off.
While she’s cemented her status to many as an ultimate hun, it seems there are still some haters.
However when one person decided to share with Alison that they were now a fan, her response was epic.
‘TBH I never really liked Alison Hammond but now I think she’s great,’ someone commented on a video of the presenter shared on the ITV breakfast programme’s page.

Anything but offended by the comment, Alison then chimed in and addressed the person directly.
‘I’m an acquired taste 😂,’ she quipped.
Many others then made their feelings known, flooding the presenters page with messages of their long-standing love for her.
‘It was love at first sight for me,’ one person shared.
‘I love you on This Morning , especially with Dermot. You bring the sunshine and the laughter. You are fabulous Babs. ❤️Xxx,’ someone else wrote.
Another added: ‘How could anyone not like Alison…she is like bottled sunshine.’
Someone even labelled her a ‘national treasure’ a sentiment that doesn’t seem too far off after it was recently announced Alison was set to be immortalised with a wax figure.
Offering a sneak peek at her Madame Tussauds figure earlier this week, she shared a photo of her hand in the mould, likely one of the first steps in the nine-month process.
It’s been a busy week as usual for the presenter, who also stepped in to shut down rumours of a ‘strained’ relationship with co-host Dermot O’Leary.
While ITV was quick to rubbish claims of frostiness, branding the rumours ‘nonsense’, Alison took a different approach and shared a video dancing with Dermot to Ronan Keating’s classic hit Life Is A Rollercoaster on Instagram.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1.
