The sets of two of this year’s biggest films are now devoid of life as actors across the world go on strike.
The Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists announced strike action would go ahead after major studios failed to offer an adequate pay deal.
Following 12 days of negotiations, an agreement on a new contract was not reached leading to a strike vote by the Sag-Aftra National Board.
The union represents 160,000 TV and movie actors, who have joined the already picketings screenwriters in walking out of sets across the world.
Discussions aimed to seek out a fairer split of streaming profits and a guarantee that artificial intelligence (AI) will not be used to replace duties performed by actors have failed, with the result of the almost instant shutdown of productions, and actors walking out of their own film premieres.

New pictures show the yellow brick road and Munchkin Village on the Wicked film set in Buckinghamshire completely empty now the strikes are underway.
The film, scheduled to be released on November 27, 2024, stars Ariana Granda as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba in a big-screen adaptation of the award-winning musical.
Similarly, the set of Deadpool 3 appeared completely empty after filming had been spotted taking place in London in recent weeks.

The third instalment of the franchise sees Ryan Reynolds return to the role of the titular character while Hugh Jackman will also don his Wolverine costume for an appearance.
Just days ago, Wolverine and Deadpool had been pictured battling it out in an action-packed clash on set.
The set now lies seemingly abandoned.

The eagerly-anticipated Marvel sequel is slated for release on May 3, 2024, with this date now in question amid delays.
These titles join a growing number of large-scale productions that could see delays to their release due to the strike action, including Avatar 3, Gladiator 2, Beetlejuice 2, and the Star Wars spin-off series Andor.
However, some productions will continue filming regardless of strike action, with Game Of Thrones prequel series House Of The Dragon garnering controversy for announcing they will not shut down.
The cast of Oppenheimer has walked out of their UK premiere in solidarity with the actors’ strike.
