Lisa Marie Presley’s cause of death has been confirmed after she died on January 12, 2023.
The US singer and songwriter – also the only child of Elvis Presley – was confirmed dead at the age of 54 following a cardiac arrest.
Her mother, Priscilla Presley, issued a heartbreaking statement at the time after rushing her daughter to hospital.
It has now been revealed that Presley died from small bowel obstruction, according to the LA County Coroner.
As reported by TMZ, the exact name of the condition is the sequelae of small bowel obstruction, which means she died of complications resulting from a small bowel obstruction.
This document is not the full report and toxicology results are expected at a later date.

Announcing her death at the start of this year, grieving mother Priscilla said: ‘It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us.
‘She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known.’
Presley’s last-ever public appearance was at the Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills just two days before her death.

A public memorial was held for the late star on January 22, with speeches and performances from the likes of Axl Rose and Alanis Morissette.
Mourners gathered in their hundreds at Graceland, the mansion in Memphis, Tennessee where she was born and which she inherited from her father following his death.
It is also where her son, Benjamin Keough, is buried, following his death by suicide in 2020 at the age of 27.
Presley was laid to rest there too.
Most recently, Priscilla and Riley Keough reached a settlement over Presley’s will after months of legal tension.

Shortly after Presley died, it was widely reported that her loved ones had clashed over changes made to her trust – with her mother thought to be questioning the validity of an amendment that cut her out of the arrangements.
But, all sides were thought to have been left happy after an agreement was reached at an LA court in May.

People Magazine reported that the Daisy Jones actress’ legal team will submit the paperwork, with another hearing scheduled for August 4.
‘They have reached a settlement. Families are happy,’ Priscilla’s lawyers said, via the publication.
‘Everyone is happy. Unified and together and excited for the future.’
Riley’s team added that she ‘would not have agreed to the settlement if she was not happy with it’.
As well as Riley, 34, Presley left behind twins Harper and Finley Lockwood, 14.
She shared the teenagers with ex-husband Michael Lockwood.
