Tonight saw one couple brutally dumped from the Love Island villa without warning… and not even the chance to sit around the firepit, as usual.
However, they weren’t the only pairing to be eliminated from the show, as the islanders were informed that another duo had also been axed… just before two new bombshells were introduced.
Near the end of tonight’s episode, a text was received which revealed that viewers had been voting for which couples they thought were the most compatible.
Then, the news that led to jaws dropping in the villa – Catherine Agbaje and Elom Ahlijah-Wilson had been deemed the least compatible couple in the vote, and therefore had been dumped with immediate effect.
Whitney Adebayo was devastated to have to be the one to announce the news, as Catherine was consoled by the girls, shortly after crying by a conversation that she’d had with Elom about him potentially wanting to get to know other people if more bombshells entered.
However, the night of bombshell revelations wasn’t over, as after Catherine and Elom left the villa, the islanders were told via text to gather around the firepit.

They found out that three more couples were at risk of being dumped for receiving the fewest votes: Kady McDermott and Ouzy See, Jess Harding and Sammy Root, and Leah Taylor and Montel McKenzie.
Before it was revealed who the second couple to be dumped was, the screen cut to black.
But that’s not all, as two new bombshells are also on the way and set to make their entrances on Thursday night’s episode.
One is Josh, aged 26 from Upminster, who works as a financial advisor.

‘I’m not afraid to go in there and rattle a few cages,’ he said, stressing that he was there for himself and he knows what he wants.
The second is Ella, who’s 23 and works as a model and a championship dancer.
‘I think the boys’ heads are gonna turn when they see a 5 foot 2 pocket rocket and confidence to match,’ she said.
‘I’m definitely going into the villa to find the love of my life. If that means stealing your man, game on.’
Love Island returns tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
