Lisa’s got a lot going on as she returns to Albert Square – but could daughter Louise come back too? (Pictures: BBC)
As EastEnders fans celebrate the return of Lisa Fowler (Lucy Benjamin) who has rocked up in Albert Square, many are wondering whether her daughter Louise Mitchell (Tilly Keeper) be back?
Lisa hasn’t wasted time in her quest to get revenge on Keanu Taylor, and has brought his daughter Peggy with her, as she demands £3k in child support from him.
Wherever Lisa goes, drama always follows – let’s not forget she shot Phil Mitchell back in 2001 – and this time is no exception as she’s hiding a gambling addiction.
But with no sign of Louise, who exactly is she and why is Lisa harbouring so much hatred towards Keanu on her behalf?
Let’s find out.
Who is Louise Mitchell?
Louise is the daughter of Lisa Fowler and hard man Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) and first appeared in 2001.

At first Lisa pretended that husband Mark was Louise’s dad, and eventually left the Square with her.
Louise had a difficult childhood and viewers learned that in 2010 Lisa and Louise were living in south-east London, but it wasn’t until 2012 that we saw them again, as Louise arrived in Walford and claimed Lisa had gone on holiday and left her alone.
In 2017 Lisa kidnapped Louise, and ended up sectioned.
Things started to look up for Louise when she thought she’d found love with Keanu Taylor – and fell pregnant with baby Peggy.
But Louise found out that her stepmother Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) had also fallen pregnant at around the same time with baby Albie, and Keanu admitted he was the father.

Devastated, Louise set up Keanu’s murder – and the guilt led to her almost smothering baby Peggy as her mental health declined.
She didn’t realise that Keanu was helped by Martin Fowler (James Bye) to fake his death, eventually returning to the soap to shack up with Sharon to raise their own child, Albie.
Louise left Albert Square with Lisa in 2020 as she struggled with her mental health and with losing her best friend Mel Owen (Tamzin Outhwaite).
Where is Louise now?
According to Lisa, Louise is back in Portugal.
She tells Sonia (Natalie Cassidy) that ‘Louise has turned to drink and to drugs and that she would just go missing for weeks on end, so Lisa basically had the responsibility of looking after Peggy,’ says Lucy Benjamin.
Louise isn’t expected to return to the square in the immediate future.
