Lily Slater (Lillia Turner) may be about to be a mum in EastEnders, but she’s also very young and vulnerable and there are increasing concerns that she’s getting into some sinister territory with Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis) – Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier)’s former teacher.
Hawthorne used to bully Freddie when he was at school, calling him ‘stupid’ and ‘lazy.’ Freddie bravely confronted him and told the teacher that his treatment of him had caused lasting effects.
Following this, Hawthorne apologised and suggested that Freddie should be tested for ADHD, something he’s been helping with ever since.
But is Theo Hawthorne all he seems? We’ve recently seen him upset Stacey (Lacey Turner) by giving Lily the trainers she was after, the ones that Stacey couldn’t afford.
Stacey told him it wouldn’t be fair on the other kids fo Lily to accept the gift, but Theo gave them to Lily anyway behind Stacey’s back.
Amy (Ellie Dadd) warned Lily that there could be something else going on, and Theo could have a sinister motive for giving her the trainers.

Lily asked him about it and he reassured her that he only had good intentions, an explanation that Lily was happy to accept.
In upcoming episodes Lily and Ricky (Frankie Day) begin to realise that when their baby arrives there’s going to be a lot of expense involved and they set their minds to ways to make money.
Lily comes up with the idea of talking to Theo and telling him that she needs cash and she’s thinking of selling her new trainers.

He’s reassuring and instantly hands her some cash.
Disturbingly, he instructs her not to tell Stacey where the money came from and gives her a ready-made lie that she should say the cash came from Ricky doing odd jobs.
A more street-wise person might be hearing loud alarm bells at this point, but for Lily it feels like she’s got the upper hand, and she’s thrilled that Theo has been so easy to manipulate.
Could she be getting herself into serious danger?
