A woman accused of posing as a man to prey on a short-sighted teenage girl has been found guilty of sexual assault by kissing – but cleared of 16 other offences.
Georgia Bilham, 21, was cleared by a jury of all but one of the alleged offences, including sexual assault and assault by penetration.
She had pretended to be ‘George Parry’ by dressing in men’s clothing, keeping a hood up, and removing her alleged victim’s glasses whenever they were together.
Bilham messaged the victim’s mum after the ruse had been uncovered saying: ‘I made a stupid mistake and was stupid years ago and made that account. I didn’t think nothing of it.’
She made no reaction as the verdicts were delivered at Chester Crown Court on Wednesday.
Judge Michael Leeming told Bilham: ‘You have been convicted of count one, an allegation of sexual assault.
‘I’m going to adjourn sentencing for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
‘It should not be taken by you as an indication of a non-custodial sentence – all options are open.’

Bilham, from Alpraham, Cheshire, will have to sign the sex offenders register and will be sentenced on July 19.
Jurors at Chester Crown Court heard the victim told her mother she and the complainant had just ‘clicked’ after they started talking.
She went on: ‘I know I should have cut it off but, like, if I didn’t feel the way I did it would have been a million times more easier. I would have just stopped without thinking about it.’
Bilham added: ‘I’m not a lesbian, like I’m genuinely not, if that hadn’t have happened I would never go near a girl. I wouldn’t have had the boxers, none of it.’
The court has heard the alleged victim said she believed she had felt a penis through Bilham’s clothing on two occasions when they were together.
In the message to her mother, Bilham said: ‘The boxers and socks, you already know the truth behind that.’
She said, ‘I know this happened more than once, but I actually don’t like girls’, before adding: ‘Maybe I do need help.’
