Loose Women’s Ruth Langsford was ‘horrified’ some parents rifle through their children’s belonging – including her co-star Linda Robson.
The ITV panel were discussing snooping after Emily Atack, 33, confessed her mum found her ‘massive’ dildo while having a rummage in her bedroom.
Ruth, who is married to Eamonn Holmes, was shocked that The Inbetweeners actress’ mum had been ‘rooting’ around in her drawers and insisted she would never do the same to her son Jack, 21.
And she didn’t hold back when Linda, 65, confessed to reading her eldest daughter Lauren’s diary when she was a teenager.
Speaking about her son, Ruth said: ‘I’ve never looked in his room. I’ve never snooped.
‘If I thought that something seriously was wrong – if he became distant or isolated – I would try to talk to him first and if I was still getting nothing then I would unashamedly go [into his room].’

She continued: ‘But I would never go, “I’m just putting his washing away, just have a little look.” I’ve never done that.’
Turning to Linda, Ruth scolded: ‘I think it’s awful Linda Robson.’
‘Me too, I think it’s awful,’ Linda replied while bowing her head and giggling.

The Birds of Feather actress went on to admit: ‘I have three kids but I’ve only ever snooped on one. She knows.’
Linda explained she found her diary in her own bedroom cupboard and, yes, Lauren was fuming.
She admitted it was a ‘terrible thing to do’ but said she ‘couldn’t help herself.’

‘I’m very nosey. I’m a curtain twitcher,’ Linda added.
Loose Women aired as usual on Monday after Phillip Schofield admitted to having an affair with a young runner on This Morning, claiming the relationship was ‘unwise’ but ‘not illegal.’
