Rochelle Humes has posted a heartfelt tribute to her former colleague Phillip Schofield following his departure from This Morning.
Over the weekend, Phil, 61, announced he had stepped down from the ITV daytime programme with ‘immediate effect’, with presenters Alison Hammond, 48, and Dermot O’Leary, 49, addressing his exit on today’s episode.
Speaking to viewers at home, Alison said: ‘Quite simply, we all know he’s one of the best live television broadcasters this country has ever had, and we and all the team wish him all the best for the future.’
Following the episode, Rochelle, 34, thanked Phil for being a ‘fountain of knowledge, and laughter’.
Taking to Instagram, she shared a trio of throwback photos of them hosting This Morning together.

‘I’ve proudly been a part of the This Morning family for almost 10 years and over the last few, it has been an absolutely pleasure learning so much from you,’ she said.
‘Thanks for all the lessons – you’re a fountain of love knowledge and laughter.’
Last Thursday marked Phil’s last day on This Morning as the broadcaster said he will not be returning for a final episode.
His departure followed reports of a rift between him and his long-time co-host Holly Willoughby, as well as his brother’s sex abuse trial.

Phil, who also shared the news in a post to his Instagram story, said in a statement: ‘I have always been proud to cover fascinating stories on This Morning. But recently, This Morning itself has become the story.
‘Throughout my career in TV – including the very difficult last few days – I have always done my best to be honourable and kind.
‘I understand that ITV has decided the current situation can’t go on and I want to do what I can to protect the show that I love.
