RB Leipzig dealt a major blow to Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga title hopes as they came from behind to seal a 3-1 win over Thomas Tuchel’s side.
Serge Gnabry put Bayern in front in the first half but Tuchel’s men collapsed after the break as Konrad Laimer equalised in the 64th minute before penalties from Nkunku and Dominik Szoboszlai completed Leipzig’s comeback.
The defeat leaves Bayern a point clear at the top of the Bundesliga, but they could get overtaken by Borussia Dortmund if they beat Augsburg on Sunday.
The Bundesliga title race will then go down to the final day of the season with Bayern playing away to Koln, while Dortmund host Mainz.
Leipzig, meanwhile, have cemented third place in the Bundesliga with their win over Bayern, while the victory will undoubtedly be extra sweet for Nkunku, who has got one over his former manager.

Nkunku, who is set to join Chelsea this summer, struggled for playing time during Tuchel’s reign at Paris Saint-Germain and was played as a right-back by the German.
Speaking about his departure from PSG in 2021, Nkunku made it clear that Tuchel played a key role in his decision to leave.
‘The arrival of Tuchel made me think,’ Nkunku said.
