Police have arrested a man who posted videos from the Nicola Bulley search scene on TikTok in the latest attempt to stop amateur detectives.
Dan Duffy, of Darwen, Lancashire, claims he was held by police for nearly a day after being arrested on Friday for a public order offence.
The influencer, who posted footage of his arrest on YouTube, says he was also fined £90.
Duffy, 36, is among several others who have tried to explore the area where Ms Bulley vanished from 20 days ago, and continued to do so after police warned on more than one occasion to leave it to detectives.
A group were also slammed as ‘vigilantes’ by officers who were believed to have tried to enter a number of derelict properties along the River Wyre, claiming police hadn’t been conducting thorough enough searches.
Video shows the moment Duffy, wearing a black vest top, was handcuffed by police at his home on Friday.
Speaking to the camera he says: ‘Hi guys, I’m being arrested on a public order offence. They’ve had an allegation.

‘As you all know I was in search to find the missing woman Nicola but this is what it’s turning into. No freedom of speech.’
The clip then showed him giving a one-finger salute on both hands before getting into the police van.
Duffy claims he was fined and issued a public order offence, but added that he ‘left the police station with no further charges’.
Metro.co.uk has approached Lancashire Police for comment.
Videos of Duffy exploring St Michael’s on Wyre had gained as many as 1.2 million views on TikTok before his account was seemingly deactivated.
He was also reportedly involved in a confrontation with a local resident while he broadcasted live on the account.

The resident told him: ‘I understand the reason you’ve all come here and I appreciate the fact you’re helping out, but the grounds have been searched, the house has been searched, the police have been up and it is private property.’
His arrest comes after an army of online ‘detectives’ started sharing videos of their efforts to solve the disappearance of Ms Bulley.
Vigilantes have live-streamed their attempts to break into an allegedly abandoned house, near the scene where she vanished in Lancashire.
Police chiefs issued a 48-hour dispersal order in the area last week following reports of individuals from outside St Michael’s filming close to properties.
The order gives officers the power to turn away anyone committing anti-social behaviour.
