One Hogwarts Legacy player has discovered a glitch that lets you peek into all common rooms without having to restart your game.
As soon as you get sorted into a house in Hogwarts Legacy, you’ll realise you’re only allowed to explore its respective common room – and not the other three.
For example, if you’re sorted into Gryffindor, you can only roam around its common room, located in the south wing of the castle.
However, a crafty Hogwarts Legacy player has figured out a way to sneak into all four lounges, and all you’ll need is your broomstick.
To kickstart the process you need to start in Irondale, which is a settlement in the Feldcroft region located on the westernmost point of the map.
Once you’ve found Irondale, all you need to do is find the house with the hanging, white cloth and walk into it until you fall through the floor.
You’ll then be out of bounds, just below the level of the usual game map, although you’ll still be able to walk around and summon your broom.

Once you’re on your broom make sure you open your map and place a waypoint towards Hogwarts, to make sure you don’t get lost on the way.
Reaching Hogwarts may take a little while, depending on what broomstick upgrades you’ve equipped.
Once you arrive at the castle, there are some spots that’ll give you access to each House’s common room.
Here is how to reach all four common rooms using this exploit:
Slytherin: Fly under the courtyard, where flying lessons take place. The Slytherin common room is opposite the greenhouses.
Gryffindor: Go past the Fat Lady on the South Wing. Once you see a floating, white square, dismount and step on it and you’ll be teleported into the Gryffindor common room.
Hufflepuff: From the Great Hall fly towards the Hufflepuff chimney exterior. Then turn to the left and fly towards a rock shaped like green steps. Once you reach the spot you’ll get transported into the Hufflepuff common room.
Ravenclaw: Fly to the top of the Ravenclaw tower, where the balcony area is located. Then spam the dismount button and you’ll be transported into the Ravenclaw common room.

Finding each common room can be a little tricky when you’re under the map, although it’s worth a try if you want to know what each location looks like, without being part of each House.
YouTube channel Goldenhalk has only tested out this trick on the PC version of Hogwarts Legacy, so there’s no guarantee it’ll work on the console version.
The glitch isn’t just useful for getting into common rooms, as you should also be able to use it to access certain quest-locked or Alohomora-locked spots too – as long as you’re able to spot them on the out of bounds version of the map.
