Atletico Madrid are interested in a move for Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic in the summer, with the Blues preparing to offload a number of players in the next transfer window.
The American is having another frustrating season at Stamford Bridge as he struggles to hold down a place in the starting XI, partly due to injury but also thanks to the fierce competition for places in the squad.
The 24-year-old has made 16 Premier League appearances this campaign, but just six of those have come in the starting line-up and he is again out injured now, having not played since 5 January against Manchester City.
After the January arrivals of Noni Madueke, Mykhailo Mudryk, David Datro Fofana and Joao Felix, the chances of Pulisic playing regularly have reduced still further.
With the American’s contract expiring in 2024, Chelsea will likely look to recover some of the £58m they paid Borussia Dortmund for him and get rid this year.
Spanish publication Fichajes report that Atletico Madrid are keen to take advantage of the situation and bring him to La Liga.
There is a good relationship between the two clubs after plenty of transfers between them in recent years. Felix is the latest after his loan switch to Stamford Bridge, following the likes of Alvaro Morata, Diego Costa and Saul Niguez in deals between the sides.
Pulisic is one of a number of Chelsea players expected to leave in the summer after their spending spree in January.
