Love Island always throws up some interesting catchphrases and comments each series, but many people watching along at home are more than ready for ‘on job’ to be done with.
During a chat between a group of Islanders on Thursday night’s episode, Casey O’Gorman, 26, offered to make Lana Jenkins, 25, some scrambled eggs for breakfast.
However, listening on in the outdoor kitchen nearby were Kai Fagan, 24, and Ron Hall, 25, who was already making her some food.
As the two boys chatted, Ron used the offending phrase twice in a matter of seconds.
‘It’s a shame because you’re already on job,’ Ron told Kai when they heard Casey make his offer.
‘You’re too late sorry mate,’ he yelled out to Casey.
‘If you’re going to get on job, you’ve got to be quick with it.’

For the uninitiated, which is basically everyone outside the villa, the phrase basically refers to the boys explaining how they are trying to get in and flirt with the girls.
While some at home are sick of watching Ron go hot and cold with Lana, and then swoop in again after she expressed an interest in Casey, many also had an issue with his wording.
As one person wrote on Twitter: ‘If one more of these love island dons says “on job” when referring to WOMEN and interacting with them I’m gonna do something drastic.’

Another added: ‘What is this new stupid line.’
‘When did get on job become a thing we say and how can we stop it,’ someone else begged.
Many others agreed.

But despite his best effort getting ‘on job’ as he puts it might be a little too late for Ron after he’s been unable to commit to Lana.
He was also called out for his behaviour by Shaq Muhammad, 24, who wasn’t impressed with the way Ron had been treating her.

‘That girl has serious feelings for you and I feel like you’ve taken complete advantage of her, because you know that she’s such a nice girl and she’s going to be there for you for the whole time.’
However, it didn’t seem to deter Ron, who brazenly labelled himself ‘better’ than Casey when he started feeling like Lana might be slipping away.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
