SAS: Who Dares Wins star Mark ‘Billy’ Billingham has revealed he thinks former DS Ant Middleton will be watching the new series.
Ant was axed from Channel 4 back in 2021 due to his ‘personal conduct’ which came after some controversial comments made in relation to the Black Lives Matter movement and Covid-19.
He was replaced by former United States Recon Marine Rudy Reyes who will once again join Billy and Jason ‘Foxy’ Fox alongside new DS Chris Oliver as 20 recruits are put through their paces in the tough Vietnam jungle.
Ant has previously hit out at the show’s producers for turning SAS: Who Dares Wins into a ‘reality show’ with ‘sob stories,’ rather than the gruelling challenges he used to put the celebs through.
Meanwhile, ahead of the last series, Billy and Foxy claimed they hadn’t heard from Ant since he left the show.
But Billy is ‘sure’ he’ll be watching the new series.

In an exclusive chat with Metro.co.uk, Billy said: ‘I’m sure he’ll be watching it. All of us, we wish him well.
‘I hope he’s doing good things and moving on to whatever he’s doing.’
When asked what he thinks Ant will feel about the new series, Billy replied: ‘How great it is, and wishing he was back with the team.
‘He’s onto bigger and better things for himself.’

This comes after Chris spoke about joining the show, after a long career in the military, during which he served within the elite Special Boat Service alongside fellow DS Foxy.
The 40-year-old was deployed on operations to Sierra Leone, Northern Ireland, Oman, Iraq and Afghanistan, before leaving the military in 2015.

Explaining how he will approach the show, he said: ‘I will bring a hard-hitting intensity to the SAS: Who Dares Wins DS, being a fiery character with a very passionate approach to military training, with respect being at the forefront of everything I do.
‘The values I intend to instill in the recruits, as part of the DS, have been forged on operations where we have lost good operators, so they had better be under no illusions – anyone who doesn’t play by the rules will pay the price.’
SAS: Who Dares Wins returns to Channel 4 on Monday, January 23 at 9pm.
