Linda and Jay connect (Pictures: BBC)
Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) and Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) are both experiencing grief in EastEnders at the moment, and future scenes will see them come together to discuss their experiences.
Linda has been grieving the loss of childhood sweetheart Mick Carter (Danny Dyer), since he went missing at sea on Christmas day.
The Queen Vic landlord dived into the sea to try and save Linda from a sinking car, which had been driven off a cliff by unhinged wife Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks).
Jay has also been dealing with his own grief, following the discovery of fiancé Lola’s brain tumour.
The tumour was discovered after Lola suffered a seizure, and was later found to be cancerous. She underwent surgery in the hopes of removing it.
Devastatingly, Lola was told that the tumour was incurable and that she didn’t have long left to live.
When Jay arrives at the Queen Vic looking for help surrounding his wedding reception, Linda and Jay strike up a conversation.
