Bray Wyatt is back in the Firefly Fun House (Picture: WWE)
Uncle Howdy interrupted the shock return of the Firefly Fun House on WWE SmackDown this week.
Bray Wyatt was back in his old haunt with a twist as Abby the Witch, Huskus the Pig, Ramblin’ Rabbit and Mercy the Buzzard all made their own comebacks in a dusty version of the sinister children’s TV set.
Before the Fun House returned, LA Knight came out to face a local talent and started his night by addressing the fans, cutting a fantastic promo on Wyatt.
The former NXT superstar questioned what’s going on in the head of his rival and hyped up their highly anticipated Pitch Black Match at the Royal Rumble on January 28.
Once the bell rang, Knight made quick work of his opponent despite Wyatt’s imagery appearing on the titan tron throughout the brief bout.
After the match ended, a slightly more sinister version of the Firefly Fun House theme played before we got taken back onto the set with Wyatt and his friends.
He tried to keep things rolling despite some bickering between his puppet pals as they argued about what to make of the Pitch Black Match, with Ramblin’ Rabbit admitting he was scared of the dark.
Wyatt told him it was ‘normal’, noting that it’s in the dark that things hide under your bed and offering a creepy warning to Knight that he should also be scared.
Uncle Howdy interrupted, repeatedly saying ‘I told you so’, noting: ‘All you needed was a little push’, hinting at the impending return of The Fiend.
‘I hope you’re satisfied,’ Wyatt said with a very different demeanour. ‘I hope you understand. You’re the one that opened the door.’
He added: ‘Now, whatever comes through it is your problem. See you at the Royal Rumble.’
It was a great twist having the Fun House back, and it’ll be fascinating to see how this plays into the latest iteration of Wyatt on SmackDown.
WWE SmackDown airs Friday nights at 1am on BT Sport 1.
