Kristin Chenoweth has said she wishes she had taken legal action after sustaining ‘long-standing injuries’ while filming The Good Wife.
The 54-year-old shot to fame as a musical theatre performer on Broadway, winning a Tony award for You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, and wide-spread acclaim for portraying Glinda in hit production, Wicked.
As well as treading the boards, Kristin has forged an illustrious career on-screen, with credits including The West Wing, Pushing Daisies, Glee and CBS series The Good Wife.
The Pink Panther actor starred in two episodes of the legal drama, which focuses on Alicia Florrick’s (Julianna Margulies) return to law after a public scandal involving her husband, as Peggy Byrne in 2012.
Kristin reflected on her stint in the political show, which ran from 2009 until 2016, on Tuesday’s Watch What Happens Live, during which she told host Andy Cohen, 54, about a near-fatal incident.
The Real Housewives creator revealed she had been ‘very badly injured’ on set, adding that he was ‘amazed’ she ‘didn’t try and get some cash’ from CBS.
‘I didn’t do it out of fear and anxiety,’ Kristen responded. ‘So don’t ever let fear rule your life.’
Kristin nodded when Andy asked her if she ‘regretted’ not taking action, stating that she still suffers with ‘long-standing injuries’ from the accident.
She continued: ‘I wished I had listened to my dad. He said, “You’re going to want to do this [sue them]”, and we’re not the suing family… but when you’re practically killed.’

Asked how the incident happened, Kristin explained: ‘You know lighting equipment? We were outside, on the corner, by the water near a 7-Eleven because I was going to get a Slurpee that day. It was free Slurpee day.
‘And I heard like a flagpole sound. I literally heard, “We’re losing the light”. And I heard, “Action”. And I woke up at Bellevue [hospital].
‘It hit me in the face and it threw me into a curb. [I had] a seven-inch skull fracture, cracked hairline, cracked teeth and ribs.’

She continued: ‘But my hair extensions saved my [life]. It made the hairline fracture go together.
‘My doctor said, “Gee, what are these metal things?” I said, “They’re hair extensions”. And he said, “They’ve saved your life”.
