Coronation Street star Jude Riordan has given fans an update on the short film he filmed over the summer, which was directed by his father, Paul Riordan, and created and written by Casualty star Michael Stevenson.
Jude, who plays popular character Sam Blakeman in the ITV soap, spent time away from the cobbles to portray the role of Sean in the film, a young carer looking after his mum, Suzanne, who lives with early onset dementia.
A few months ago, Jude shared a variety of behind-the-scenes pictures from the shoot alongside Paul, Mike and the rest of the cast and crew.
He wrote: ‘And that’s a WRAP on my first short film Something Missing. I can’t wait to see this finished film! 4 long days to get it all in. Had the best time with the best team! First project w my dad and first project with Mike Stevenson.
‘Would I do another YES. This is a story very close to our hearts, a young carer Sean looking after his Mum Suzanne with early onset Dementia. A story that is life for many young carers and needs to be told.’
Originally, the story was called Something Missing but in a new Instagram post, Jude revealed a slight update in the film.
The picture sees Sean in a shed, with text on the image confirming the film is now called Hidden.
Cusp Films – the production company – also shared the poster and said: ‘Finally it’s ready! Formerly known as Something missing, our latest short film HIDDEN is now ready and raring to hit festivals in 2023.’
