Selena Gomez has defiantly responded to people trying to bodyshame her – and we love her for it.
The Rare Beauty founder, 30, rocked up at the Golden Globes earlier this week, looking nothing short of stunning in a floor-length Valentino gown.
Actress Selena attended the glitzy ceremony after being nominated for best television actress – musical/comedy series for Only Murders In The Building but, sadly, she lost out to Quinta Brunson from Abbott Elementary.
Nevertheless, the Lose You To Love Me hitmaker had a blast, walking the red carpet with her younger sister, Gracie Elliott Teefey, nine.
Unfortunately, online trolls couldn’t resist the urge to write nasty comments about Selena’s weight, despite how she oozed confidence and joy as she posed for cameras.
Taking it upon herself to address critics of her physical appearance, Selena proved it’s all water off a duck’s back.

Speaking in an Instagram Live alongside her little sis, she told her followers: ‘I’m a little bit big right now because I enjoyed myself during the holidays.’
‘Right?’, she asked Gracie.
The youngster appeared to agree, but all Selena could do was laugh.
‘But we don’t care,’ she added, bursting into a cackle.

This isn’t the first time Selena has addressed haters after receiving mean comments about her body.
Posting a video to TikTok last year, the Disney child star made it clear she wouldn’t tolerate such bullying.
‘I am perfect the way I am,’ she said confidently.

‘Honestly, I don’t care about my weight because people b***h about it anyway,’ Selena laughed, before quoting some of the things people have said to her.
‘You’re too small, you’re too big, that doesn’t fit… meh meh meh meh,’ she said in a mocking tone.
The Hulu star is open when it comes to mental health, previously admitting that she needs to take time off social media to protect her well-being.
The star was diagnosed with lupus in 2014 and has been open about how it’s affected her life (Picture: Apple TV/TNI Press LTD.)
She was also diagnosed with lupus in 2014, which is an autoimmune disorder that occurs when the immune system attacks the body’s connective tissue, injuring, and in more severe cases, destroying vital organs such as the joints, kidneys, and heart.
As a result, it’s been known for those with lupus to experience weight fluctuations, as well as rashes, muscle pain, joint pain, swelling, and, in more serious cases, kidney failure.

Then, in 2017, the Love You Like A Love Song songstress underwent a kidney transplant due to complications from her lupus.
‘There aren’t words to describe how I can possibly thank my beautiful friend Francia Raisa. She gave me the ultimate gift and sacrifice by donating her kidney to me. I am incredibly blessed. I love you so much sis. Lupus continues to be very misunderstood but progress is being made,’ she shared at the time.
