A Marvel star and Hollywood icon couldn’t have looked further for himself while in character filming HBO series The Sympathizer.
The spy drama is an adaptation of Viet Thanh Nguyen’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name, and follows a Vietnamese mole who is exiled to the US in the final days of the Vietnam War.
Oldboy director Park Chan-wook is showrunner on the thriller, along with Don McKella, while Euphoria and Shuggie Brain producer A24 is creating the anticipated series.
Hoa Xuanda, who was in Cowboy Bebop, will play the lead role in The Sympathizer, with other cast members including Fred Nguyen Khan, Toan Le, Vy Le and Alan Trong.
The show has already kicked off production, with a rather famous movie star looking totally unrecognisbale as he filmed his scenes.
The actor in question sported a balding mop of curly red hair and was seen wearing a burgundy jacket over a pink shirt, matched with blue chinos.

It is none other than Robert Downey Jr, 57, who looked worlds away from his usual self.
The Iron Man star is playing multiple parts in The Sympathizer, who all represent a different arm of the American establishment.

He previously told Deadline: ‘The next thing I’m doing is a series with my Mrs. and the director Park Chan-Wook, based on a Pulitzer book called The Sympathizer.
‘It’s already a transformative, literally playing five different roles, experience for me. So, I would just say, before we cast aspersions on each other — undergo your own renaissance and see if it doesn’t change your mind a little bit.
‘Reinvent yourself before you decide that somebody else doesn’t know what they’re doing or that something is keeping you from doing your best, or that something is better than something else.’

It’s not the first time Robert has debuted a new ‘do in recent months, having gone completely bald at the Governors Ball in November.
His makeover was the handiwork of Robert and his wife Susan’s two children, Exton, 10, and Avri, eight, who were given permission to whip off his spiky brown hair last month.
In an Instagram video, Robert is seen explaining to his offspring: ‘I don’t want to have to wear a bald cap, so will you guys shave my head?’

Avri asks if that’s ‘even appropriate’ but he quickly has a change of mind and is seen laughing mischievously while handling the shaver.
‘Great job guys,’ Robert tells his boys after they take the clippers to his hair.
