Kim Kardashian being flour bombed at her perfume launch in 2012 was an orchestrated media stunt from her team, according to new claims.
The 42-year-old socialite was pelted with flour by a female attacker on March 22, 2012, while working the red carpet at her own event, at the London Hotel in West Hollywood.
While the ordeal appeared to be totally out of the blue, now Kim’s former media strategist Sheeraz Hasan has alleged the mum-of-four was in on the staged ordeal, which had been arranged to spark a media frenzy.
Speaking in Channel 4’s new documentary, The Kardashians: A Billion Dollar Industry, he said that he was behind the plan, which was formulated to help sales of her new fragrance True Reflection.
Sheeraz told part one of the film that he asked the reality star whether she was ‘willing to get flour bombed’.

‘We have our discussions [with] Kim, [and the] team,’ he continued, before recalling another conversation he had with her.
‘Okay this is what’s going to happen, you’re going to be fine, you’re going to be safe, but we’re going to create a media moment,’ he said.
‘If we create media gold, guess what’s going to happen? Everyone’s going to be talking about your perfume, everyone’s going to buy it.’
He added: ‘Are the team in on it? Of course, they’re in on it.’

At the time of the events, Kim told E! Online: ‘That probably is the craziest, unexpected… thing that ever happened to me.
‘Like I said to my make-up artist, I wanted more powder, and that’s a whole lot of translucent powder right there.’
Kim did not press charges over the incident and the unidentified female attacker was shortly released from police custody.

Her sister, Khloe Kardashian, also said that she was ‘proud’ of how Kim handled the situation.
‘I wish I was with my sister tonight. I bet you that woman wouldn’t have dared tried a thing,’ she added.
