Former Premier League manager Tony Pulis singled out ‘absolutely fantastic’ Martin Odegaard after Arsenal beat Brighton to go seven points clear of title rivals Manchester City.
Arsenal ended 2022 in style as they defeated Brighton 4-2 at the Amex Stadium on Saturday evening.
‘Arsenal have been very, very good,’ Pulis told BBC Radio 5 Live. ‘They play football in the right way and absolutely deserved this today.
‘Brighton had a little spell in the first half but apart from that they have been really dominated by this Arsenal team. It was fantastic football from them.
‘Arsenal’s one-touch passing and movement is absolutely first class. The energy to run forward has been really impressive.
‘It’s been absolutely fantastic from Martin Odegaard. He looks a very, very good player.
‘It’s great football. Arsenal are playing some fantastic football through the pitch. They break with pace.
‘Technically they are excellent. Every time Arsenal have gone through on the counter attack, they have got runners looking to get in behind all the time and it just stretches the game.’
