A 17-year-old boy allegedly fatally shot his co-worker and roommate as she was removing Christmas decorations in their home.
Cayman Wilson was reportedly one of two 17-year-old boys with their female co-worker at the home they shared in Crosby, Texas. The incident occurred around 9pm on Thursday.
The victim’s grandfather identified her as Marissa Dikeman, 19, and told KTRK that she had gotten out of work around 7.30pm. Dikeman had gone home to take down Christmas decorations with co-workers she also considered her friends, the grandfather said.
Both boys were assisting Dikeman in taking off the decorations when Wilson pointed at gun at Dikeman and fired, investigators said.

‘My understanding is that firearm may belong to the victim’s roommates who were not present at the time of the shooting,’ Harris County Sheriff’s Sgt Greg Pinkins told the TV station.
Court documents obtained by the New York Post state that Wilson killed Dikeman ‘while playing with a firearm’.
Wilson has been charged with manslaughter. He is being held at the Harris County Jail on a $150,000 bond.
The other teen boy has not been charged.

Dickman’s grandparents called Wilson ‘a good kid’ and said they did not want charges to be pressed against him.
‘It’s bad enough that he has to live with what happened the rest of his life,’ Dikeman’s grandfather told KTRK.
Dikeman was studying educational administration at Houston Christian University and was expected to graduate in 2023, her mother told the TV station. She went to Crosby High School and won awards for raising steer, chickens and turkeys.
She worked at the family’s deer processing business less than a half mile from their home on the 4400 block of Sherri Lane, her grandparents said. Dikeman was the youngest of three.
Wilson’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for Tuesday.
