The competition heated up in the Celebrity MasterChef kitchen on tonight’s episode, withfour celebrities going head-to-head in a bid to take home the coveted Golden Whisk trophy after two festive-filled challenges.
However, only one of the four former competitors could be crowned the winner.
The latest episode of the BBC series saw professional dancer AJ Pritchard, Drag Race UK star Kitty Scott-Claus, reality star and singer Megan McKenna and actor Chizzy Akudolu return to the kitchen, having all competed on the show before.
While Megan was the only one of the lot to have previously made it to a final, all of them had missed out on victory in the past – so now was their time for redemption.
The first task of the episode saw the chefs concoct delicious dishes using Christmas dinner leftover ingredients, as well as a handy recipe provided to them by judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace.
They later served up even more tasty treats using their culinary brains, while the cook-off saw John’s wife, actress and former Celebrity MasterChef contestant Lisa Faulkner, make a special appearance to help with the judging.

After all of their hard work, the time came for AJ, Kitty, Megan and Chizzy to find out who’d won.
As John and Gregg announced Megan as the victor, the others clapped for her, before admitting that she fully deserved the recognition.
‘Oh my god! I’m so happy! Thank you so much,’ Megan exclaimed, as Chizzy remarked that while Megan had been the ‘bridesmaid’ in the past, now she was the ‘bride’.

‘Megan’s always been a fierce competitor,’ John remarked, while Gregg hailed her for her ‘perfect presentation’.
As for how Megan was going to celebrate her win, she shared: ‘I’m going to celebrate with a margarita!’
Tonight’s episode was the second Celebrity MasterChef Christmas special to air this year, with the first having been broadcast on December 23.
In the previous instalment, the four contestants were musician Bez, Union J star Josh Cuthbert, soprano singer Lesley Garrett and sprinter Iwan Thomas, with the athlete being the one to secure the win.
Celebrity MasterChef is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
