It is hard to believe so much has happened in one year – from Russia’s war in Ukraine and the revolution in Iran internationally, to the death of the Queen and the political turmoil in Britain.
Before you breath a sigh of relief that 2022 is finally over, let us tell you what Baba Vanga has predicted for next year.
Although Bulgaria’s legendary mystic died 26 years ago, her prophecies about the future are still believed by people from all corners of the world.
Real name Vangelia Gushterova, she was named ‘the Nostradamus of the Balkans’ for her eerily accurate predictions including the Chernobyl disaster in Ukraine, the death of Princess Diana, New York’s 9/11, as well as her own death.
Though Soviet Union leaders like Leonid Brezhnev were some of her supporters, it is perhaps important to say about 80% of her predictions turned out accurate.
Vanga did not write any books herself as she was semi-literate, but what she said was captured by believers over time.
Solar storm
One of her prediction for 2023 is said to be a solar storm on a scale never before seen, according to History.
The blind mystic died 26 years ago but her popularity remains strong
It is a disturbance on the Sun, which can emanate outward across the heliosphere, affecting the entire Solar System, including the Earth.
This phenomenon is not uncommon, but is sometimes big enough to potentially disrupt power grids, internet connections and other communication devices.
Nuclear explosion
Some sources say Vanga also warned about a nuclear power plant explosion next year.
With Vladimir Putin’s forces remaining in control of Europe’s biggest nuclear hub in the city of Zaporizhzhia, this suggestions may not seem as outlandish.
Russia seized the station in southern Ukraine in March, and since then, it has been in the heart of intense fighting.

Bioweapons
If a nuclear explosion is not bad enough, Vanga predicted the use of bioweapons for 2023.
According to her prophecy, a ‘big country’ will carry out bioweapons research on people.
It is impossible to know which country she meant but it is claimed that hundreds of thousands of people could die as a result of such experiments.
The Biological Weapons Convention of the United Nations also effectively bans such experiments.
Earth’s orbit to change
Vanga is claimed to have predicted that somehow the Earth’s orbit will ‘change’.

Changes to the spin, tilt, and orbit can lead to cooling or warming of the climate because of the amount of energy our planet receives from the Sun.
Previously, the Earth has been affected on various scales over very long periods of time .
But if a radical shift occurred over the course of a single year, for whatever reason, the effects would be apocalyptic.
Many people believe Vanga’s prophecies continue to come true, and before her death, hundreds of people travelled from as far away as Japan to her village in the Kozhuh mountains to meet with her.
Her prophecies make for a terrifying reading, which is why it is important to say that nearly all of her predictions from the 2000-onward cannot be corroborated.
