Warning: spoilers ahead for Wednesday on Netflix.
Considering how tremendous of a hit Wednesday has been ever since it was released on Netflix, it wouldn’t be surprising if many fans have already given the terrifically entertaining series a rewatch.
However, on second or third viewings, how many people noticed the moment the true intentions of Tyler Galpin (Hunter Doohan) were foreshadowed in an Easter Egg moment?
In the Addams Family spin-off show, ‘outcast’ Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) befriends and then becomes romantically involved with Tyler, a ‘normie’ who works as a barista at the local cafe.
When they kiss for the first time, Wednesday has a vision which reveals to her that Tyler is actually the monster that’s been ravaging the town – a Hyde – before later finding out that his mother was also able to transform into the bloodthirsty monster.
In episode four, when Wednesday and Tyler attend the Rave’D dance together at Nevermore Academy, where she performs her now-iconic dance to the Cramps’ Goo Goo Muck, there’s a moment that hints at how the horrifying events are going to unfold.

While Wednesday is getting ready for the dance, putting on the elegant, gothic dress that Thing stole for her, Tyler gazes at an old black-and-white photo in a glass cabinet of the fencing team who competed at Nevermore decades ago.
Front and centre is Wednesday’s mother, Morticia, who was the captain of the team.
During their first watch, viewers might have simply thought that Tyler was simply looking at Morticia, recognising her as Wednesday’s mother.
However, it’s later discovered by Wednesday that Tyler’s mother not only attended Nevermore, having been a Hyde, but she was also in the fencing team picture.

The Easter Egg was spotted by a Reddit user who goes by the handle @r2tokill, who explained that they noticed it while rewatching the show.
‘I realised when Tyler is waiting for Wednesday to get changed into the dress for the Rave’n he was looking at the old picture of the fencing team,’ they wrote.
‘I thought he was looking at Wednesday’s mother my first time watching, but I realise that he was looking at his own mother!’
Another Reddit user admitted that they also spotted it on their second watch, commenting: ‘Noticed that during my 2nd rewatch too. Well you can’t know that when you first watch it.’
We wonder how many more clues we could spot if we go over the series with a fine tooth comb?
Wednesday is available to watch on Netflix.
