Jorginho’s agent confirms that Chelsea have offered the midfielder a new contract, although he would be tempted by a return to former club Napoli.
The Italy international’s current contract expires at the end of the season and the Blues are keen to keep hold of him as he remains an influential figure under Graham Potter.
The 31-year-old made his 13th Premier League appearance of the season this week as Chelsea beat Bournemouth 2-0, captaining the side at Stamford Bridge.
A new deal has been offered to keep him in west London, and it sounds like that the most likely scenario is that he will sign it, but Jorginho’s agent has certainly fluttered his eyelashes at the club he left in 2018.
‘Jorginho is expiring on June 30, we have a renewal offer and we’ll give priority to Chelsea,’ Joao Santos told TMW.
‘Naples represented our home in Italy, [sporting director, Cristiano] Giuntoli really appreciates the player, for us it’s a special place.
‘If there was a new interest we’d be happy, however, at the moment Napoli has not had any contact with us.’

Jorginho is clearly keeping his options open for now, but has spoken in glowing terms of new manager Potter and what he is trying to achieve at Chelsea.
‘He’s very nice, even if from the outside it may seem like he isn’t,’ he told Sky Sports of his boss.
‘He’s a good person, a hard worker and for me he’s very prepared, he has his own ideas, very clear, and he’s creating this good relationship with the players based on trust and communication. I think he’s on the right track to do well.’
