The Traitors star Andrea Addison has proved that she truly is the ‘icon of kindness’, in the words of Rayan Rachedi.
Sharing an insight into celebrating Christmas, Andrea, 73, revealed she’s spent some of the festive period with her Ukrainian refugees in Belgium.
Speaking to Rayan and fellow Faithful Ivan Brett on an Instagram Live, Andrea spoke about her Christmas: ‘It’s been very nice, not quiet, just very relaxed.’
Rayan replied: ‘I heard you had several dinners for Christmas, not just the 24th to the 25th.’
‘I had three or four, I can’t even remember. I’ve got a lunch tomorrow, but that’s nice, with a couple of my Ukrainian refugees,’ Andrea continued.
Ivan chimed in: ‘We haven’t got any Ukrainian refugees, so I feel quite insufficient,’ as Rayan added: ‘Andrea, the icon of kindness.’

Andrea continued: ‘No it’s not that, I am so impressed by them, they very rarely, sometimes they look very sad and distressed, but most of the time they are so positive, and trying to learn French and trying to get to grips with it all, it makes you feel extremely humble.’
She added: ‘And I have my favourite one who is not coming tomorrow, she’s somebody’s mother, a Ukrainian Babushka.
‘And you just want to take her in your arms, and she smiles and she’s got metal teeth, and she’s absolutely wonderful. She’s so good.’

Andrea, 72 at the time of filming, became known as the ‘grandmother figure’ in the Scottish castle, being the eldest of 22 contestants on the thrilling BBC gameshow which, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, offered players the chance to win £120,000 if they played their cards right and made it through all banishments and midnight murders.
Sadly (very, very sadly), Andrea was murdered in the dead of night by the only remaining original Traitor, Wilfred Webster, at a time when she really thought she could’ve gone all the way.
After her murder, retiree Andrea reflected on her journey on the show, and her reaction to her exit.

‘I hadn’t really prepared myself for being murdered right then,’ she confessed to Metro.co.uk.
Adding that she was always suspicious of Wilfred, she explained that it wouldn’t have been possible to convince the others to vote for him.
‘I was gutted, of course. I really thought I could get to the end. And it was only on the Saturday night before being murdered that I thought I might go to the end, the only time, isn’t that strange?’

‘I was pretty p*****d off!’, she exclaimed, but she’s able to laugh about it now.
‘It is what it is. It was what it was. I sent a note very quickly to Wilf when I got my phone back!’
The Traitors is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
