Christmas was filled with both happy and sad moments for Mollie King, as she celebrate her first as a mum but also her first without her dad.
The Saturdays pop star, 35, welcomed her first child with cricket star Stuart Broad, 36, in November, naming their adorable daughter Annabella.
However, in the same month, Mollie also said goodbye to her beloved dad, Stephen, who was diagnosed with a brain tumour in August.
Announcing his death, the ‘heartbroken’ Radio 1 DJ shared that her late dad ‘held on a few extra days’ so he got to meet her baby.
Reflecting after the chaos of the festive period, the singer shared her gratitude to be surrounded by loved ones at the emotional time.
Mollie shared a series of photos to Instagram from her family’s Christmas celebrations, including a selfie with little Annabella and husband-to-be Stuart, and a snap of excitable nephews opening their gifts.

She wrote to her one million followers: ‘This year, more than ever, I’ve been so grateful to be surrounded by my family at Christmas time ❤️
‘For me it’s been mixed emotions heading up to Christmas Day as I’ve feared all of us sitting down for lunch and having one chair less without our Pops at the table.’
Sympathising with others going through the same thing, she continued: ‘I know I’m not the only one who will be missing a loved one this Christmas and my heart goes out to anyone who’s also going through this.’

Mollie then shared some of her happy memories from her first Christmas with her baby girl.
‘I’ve kept reminding myself how lucky I am to be surrounded by so many of the people I love and without a doubt the constant chatter from the little ones, seeing Annabella laugh for the first time, countryside walks and Home Alone on repeat made sure we all created more special memories, and most importantly, that my little girl’s Christmas was magical, just as it should be 💫’
She concluded: ‘Thank you Mum for getting us all together. Sending so much love to anyone else going through this at this time xx’
