Carol Vorderman has opened up about her year of hell dealing with a stalker and confirmed she now has a restraining order in place.
The former Countdown presenter shared a social media post reflecting on camping trips she has enjoyed throughout the year, but also the security measures she’s had to take to ensure her safety due to a harassment campaign against her.
Alongside a video montage of her adventures throughout 2022, Carol, 62, wrote: ‘OUTDOORS 2022
‘I’m alive and breathe when I’m outdoors, properly outside… From Juice Master Retreats walking 13 Miles a day…..to hiking in the @BreconBeaconsNP to beachcombing….I just love it all.
‘Next year I’ll be away much more in my @VordersVan.’
She then revealed: ‘Had to go with my friends in their vans this year cos of a bit of a “Vorder stalker” thing going on. But “civil restraining orders” have now been signed, so ONWARDS…..
‘“Ain’t no stopping me now I’m on the move”.’
One supportive fan commented: ‘Must hv been very stressful 4U Carol. Am plsd it’s all been sorted now legally 4U.’
Another said: ‘There are so many stalkers about. Not one tv programme has explained the phsychology of stalking or spoken to one about their obsessions. Seem to be growing in numbers or more reporting. Stay safe.’

The TV presenter first opened up about her stalker ordeal earlier this month, revealing the shocking extent of the stranger’s attempts to immerse themselves in her life, including contacting her children.
Carol told her Twitter followers: ‘Someone tried to incite sexual violence against me recently, inc thousands of online messages, went on for over a year, harassing my children too.
‘Others would then copy that behaviour. We found HER and she signed a civil ‘restraining order’ in the end. This stuff is horrendous.’
Despite her ordeal this year, Carol has found things to be grateful for in 2022, such as watching her son graduate and working with charities.
‘It was incredible. When you know the effort a child with learning difficulties has had to make, for many years, then it’s extra special. Cameron, you’re a superstar,’ she said of son Cameron’s education milestone in her latest Express column.
