Wayne Rooney looked every inch the doting father as he posed with his four sons wearing matching Christmas pyjamas, making for a very wholesome picture.
The former England footballer fully embraced the festive cheer as he spent Christmas with sons Kai, 13, Klay, nine, Kit, six, and Cass, four.
Returning to Instagram on Boxing Day, Wayne, 37, shared a photo of himself posing in front of a Christmas tree wearing a white T-shirt with a reindeer on the front and ‘dad’ printed underneath, with a pair of red and white striped pyjama bottoms.
He wrapped his arms around his eldest son Kai who stood next to his siblings descending in age order, with Klay, Kit and Cass all smiling for the camera.
‘Happy Christmas everyone,’ Wayne captioned the shot alongside a Father Christmas and Christmas tree emoji.
Missing from the photo shoot was Wayne’s wife Coleen, who was presumably behind the camera, but she did join the family on a magical trip to Lapland last week as well as Winter Wonderland.

Wayne and Coleen are being depicted in a dramatised series about her libel trial against Rebekah Vardy (Picture: WireImage)
Coleen, 36, has seen her life become the subject of a TV series with Channel 4 airing Vardy v Rooney: A Courtroom Drama, which depicts a dramatised version of her Wagatha Christie trial against fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy.
The bombshell trial unfolded this summer after Coleen accused Rebekah of leaking stories about her to the press, claiming she had set up a ‘sting operation’ by limiting access to her private Instagram Stories to only Rebekah’s account and posting fake stories to smoke her out.
Rebekah has always denied the claims and sued Coleen for libel, but lost the trial when it was ruled Coleen did not defame her.
The drama sees Chanel Cresswell starring as Coleen and Natalia Tena as Rebekah. Dion Lloyd will take on the role of her husband, Wayne, Michael Sheen takes on the role of David Sherborne, Coleen’s barrister and Simon Coury will be playing Rebekah’s barrister Hugh Tomlinson QC.
Vardy v Rooney: A Courtroom Drama is available to watch on Channel 4.
