Meghan Fox’s new flick has us excited (Picture: Arturo Holmes/WireImage)
Megan Fox is reportedly set to play a deadly AI robot in the upcoming sci-fi thriller Subservience, and it sounds like Jennifer’s Body re-imagined for our times tbh.
The actress is reuniting with Till Death director S.K. Dale on the flick, alongside 365 Days actor Michele Morrone.
The plot follows a struggling father who purchases a domestic SIM, played by The Transformers star, to help care for his house and family until she ‘gains awareness and turns deadly,’ according to Deadline.
For those unfamiliar with the 2009 cult horror that is Jennifer’s Body, it centered around Megan, 36, who played ‘high-school hottie’ Jennifer, perfect in every way – presumably like her Subservience SIM character – until she turns evil, possessed by a flesh-eating demon.
The Hollywood star’s new flick might skip the flesh-eating part, but an AI gone rogue sounds just as intriguing.
And the Subservience director said audiences are in for a treat, with the film showing a new side of the Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen actress.

Production is due to start on the film in early January 2023.
‘The film will show a side of Megan that we have never seen before. The cast that we are assembling will elevate this emotionally-charged story and I cannot wait to show you all what we have in store,’ he said.
Megan recently made headlines for using an AI program of a different kind. She was one of many who jumped on the trend of running images of themselves through an artificial intelligence app to create new images.
She shared a number of computer-generated images of herself on social media and appeared surprised as hers depicted her appearing topless or scantily clad in most of them.
The actress clapped back at trolls who didn’t get her sarcasm over her ‘sexual’ AI photos (Picture: @meganfox) P
‘Were everyone’s avatars equally as sexual? Like, why are most of mine naked?’ she asked her 20 million followers.
It took a while for users to realise the actress was being sarcastic as she later wrote: ‘Sigh. I was being sarcastic. How can everyone think I actually lack this level of self-awareness?’ she wrote in response to those who critised her.

In other AI news, director James Cameron said talks for a reboot of his Terminator films which also focus on when AI goes wrong, are ‘in discussion’.
Talking in a new interview about themes in his films, Cameron said he was ‘pretty concerned’ about the misuse of AI as it ‘could literally be the end of the world’ and ‘no technology has never not been weaponised’.
