Royal Variety Performance viewers praised David Baddiel, Frank Skinner and The Lightning Seeds for dedicating their Three Lions hit to the Lionesses following their Euros triumph.
The comedic duo took to the stage and belted out the catchy bop in front of Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Despite England’s devastating loss against France during this year’s World Cup on Saturday December 10, Baddiel and Skinner gave it some gusto as they updated their single to reflect the Lionesses’ win.
Viewers were moved by the performance and expressed their reactions on social media.
‘What a brilliant tribute to the #Lionesses European Championships win with the iconic #ItsComingHome.’
‘This version of 3 lion’s absolutely brilliant to see it live on #RoyalVarietyPerformance and supported by the super fantastic #Lionesses,’ another added.

Although viewers at home were loving the performance, Frank recently revealed that Sophie, Countess of Wessex wasn’t living for it as much.
During his Absolute Radio show, Skinner told listeners at the beginning of this month that he was pretty poorly on the night.
‘I thought “This is not how the royal walk thing works”. And we honestly said “Pardon”’ It’s supposed to be just banal compliments.
‘And I said “Erm, well, normally we’re like comics”. She said, “Yeah, but you’re on screen aren’t you, you’re not used to a live crowd.”
“I said, “Well we’ve done a bit of live stuff you know, stand-up and stuff.” But she’s sticking with it and she said “Yeah, but you haven’t done anywhere the size of this.”

I said “Look, I did the Palladium last Sunday.”
‘She looked at me like “you’re not supposed to be arguing, I don’t think you’re supposed to be arguing with me, you’re supposed to just nod”. It was like a really awkward thing.’
Although it was hard to detect, but we’re sure Prince Edward and Sophie were bopping their heads to the beat!
