Welcome to the house that ate the 80s (Picture: Zillow/DBAAR)
The home of Hawaiian Tropic founder Ron Rice, which includes a sauna, stuffed wildlife and lots and lots of wood, has hit the market for just under £5million.
Fans of intriguing retro décor will no doubt be wowed by the 12,000sq ft property, which also boasts indoor bars, several indoor and outdoor pools, and a small bridge.
Choices have definitely been made.
There’s also a mirrored and marbled bathroom with a black toilet, photos of Ron with his celebrity friends, and one bathroom has been covered wall-to-wall with images of busty mermaids.
There seems to be something of an aquatic motif, with a pirate skull and crossbones mounted on one wall, and various sea life and mermaid statues dotted around the place.
Indeed, there are huge statues and figurines everywhere you look, as well as animal print, teal carpet and what looks like pink marble.
Truly a feast for the senses and all could be yours for $5,999,900 (£4,937,497.71).

‘Situated on a highly desirable stretch of Ormond Beachside along with other multi-million-dollar residences, the home sits high on the no-drive beach making it your private oasis.
‘Expansive outdoor decking links three pools – one of which is both indoor and connected to the extravagant main house where ocean views abound.

‘In the great room, floor-to-ceiling windows provide unobstructed Atlantic vistas; of the four total bedrooms, two are opulent direct oceanfront owners’ suites with their own private views; even the kitchen with its wrap-around breakfast bar offers its own vantage of surf and sun.
‘One-of-a-kind woodwork and stone accenting tie together the array of living and entertaining spaces, from the disco dance floor to the recessed family room to the spacious formal dining room to the indoor/outdoor bar and lounge.’
It looks normal enough from the outside (Picture: Zillow/DBAAR)

Ron, who died aged 81 in May this year, previously worked as a high school chemistry teacher before he came up with the Hawaiian Tropic formula in a 20-gallon rubbish bin in his garage.
‘I have enough to buy anything I want,’ he told a reporter in 1983. ‘Money isn’t important to me now.
‘What is important is seeing that my people make money – those who were pushing when I was pulling.

‘A lot of them were teachers, coaches and lifeguards with whom I worked, who came with me because they believed what I was doing would be successful.’
The listing for the property, which is being marketed by Bill Navarra, also reads: ‘This is truly a one-of-a-kind opportunity to own a piece of Ormond Beach history where celebrities, dignitaries and even past presidents have gathered.’
