A burst water pipe has created a glistening ice phenomenon that has left locals’ jaws sufficiently dropped.
Helen Stratford, a mum from Staunton, Gloucestershire, stumbled on the bizarre, almost alien-like structure at the bottom of her road.
Hundreds of dangling icicles were formed after a car drove past the ruptured main, splashing water onto a hedge by the side of the street.
Helen said: ‘I’ve driven past it every day, it’s a phenomenon of nature I suppose.’
Her daughter, nine-year-old Sabrina, was transfixed by the ice and compared it to ‘organ pipes at the cathedral’.
‘We went when she broke up from school and it was so slippery but she wanted me to take a photo,’ she added.

‘People have been bombing past it and not looking at it properly, but since I shared the photo they’ve stopped and realised it’s quite remarkable.’
Helen hopes that as the UK continues to be covered in a blanket of snow and ice that the icy sculpture will continue to grow.
‘Whenever people drive past they splash it and it adds more to it,’ she said.
‘It really is amazing and truly unique.’
A local commented on the photos shared on social media, saying: ‘Never seen anything like that before… brilliant pic!’
Show dusted much of the usually mild south England last weekend – and the Met Office warns to expect more to come this weekend.

The weather service has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice covering the majority of Scotland, Wales, the north of England and the Midlands from 3am to 9pm on Sunday.
A second warning said snow and ice will also blanket most of the south of England from 3am until 11am on Sunday.
As much as the weather has brought with it beautiful scenes, the fallen snow, icy patches and blistering wind have brought with it travel chaos.
On top of hundreds of schools and shops, some airports were forced to shut down due to hazardous conditions.
