Oh, how we hope (Pictures: BBC)
Well, EastEnders fans, it looks like we’ve got some investigating to do. *Pops deerstalker hat on*. Did anyone spot the card Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) was reading during last night’s episode?
Reiss is a new face in Walford and also happens to be Dot Cotton’s (June Brown) great-nephew.
He attended the funeral during Monday’s emotional edition of the BBC One soap, but it was only last night that we started to get to know him.
He was invited back to Albert Square for the wake and nervously started chatting with Sonia (Natalie Cassidy) – someone who will eventually turn into his new love interest.
Before Sonia entered the lounge with a tea, Reiss was reading a ‘With Deepest Sympathy’ card – and it’s the contents of the card that has got us very, very, intrigued.
In the image below, we are just about able to see that the card says ‘Mrs B – Forever in my heart. Arthur x’.
Please?! (Picture: BBC)
And who used to call Dot, Mrs B, all of the time?
This is certainly a significant moment for many EastEnders fans, as Fatboy was seemingly killed off during a storyline back in 2015.
Similar to Vincent’s (Richard Blackwood) death, we still don’t know if the iconic character was murdered in the scrapyard all those years ago – but has this recent scene confirmed he’s alive?
If he is – why hasn’t anyone picked up on who the card is from?
Is Fatboy using his real name so no-one realises?
Oh, how we hope this is true.
