The young lad is struggling (Picture: ITV)
Poor little Kyle (Huey Quinn) is in a world of pain though his guilt over killing Al (Michael Wildman) and having his dad rot for it in Emmerdale’s prison. The secret is too big, the 10-year-old is starting to crumble.
He’s missing Cain (Jeff Hordley) terribly and tries to convince Amy (Natalie Ann Jamieson) and Moira (Natalie J Robb) he shouldn’t go to school, which heightens their fears over his mental state. Amy offers him a deal – if he goes to school, she’ll try and get him a visitation with his dad. Bingo, it does the trick.
But Amy clearly hasn’t thought this through. Moira knows this deal is a complete mistake – seeing his dad could open the flood gates.
Kyle is giddy with excitement at the prospect of seeing his dad. Matty (Ash Palmisciano) urges them to consider professional help for the lad, something they are avoiding in case the probing prompts him to say something he shouldn’t.

But it’s getting to the point where they know that not getting him help is doing more damage.
It’s a catch 22 that needs solving fast, but as they discuss Kyle’s mental health, they don’t realise he’s listening to every word and that they’ve opened a whole new can of worms.
Kyle is taken to see his dad and the fragile little boy breaks down as soon as he sees him, which sparks a deep-rooted fear in Cain. Kyle is about to blow his cover and send the whole family into turmoil as accomplices. Is the secret finally out?
Will he reveal all?
