England may have lost to France in the quarter-finals of the Qatar World Cup 2022 but they still have the support of the nation.
Gareth Southgate’s squad came crashing out of the tournament on Saturday night following a 2-1 loss, thanks in part to a devastating penalty mistake by Harry Kane.
But while the dreams of football coming home in 2022 is over, there’s plenty of love and pride for the team for getting so far against some seriously tough competition.
Not least from the team’s wives, partners and children, many of whom were in Qatar on Saturday ready to cheer them on.
Goalie Jordan Pickford’s wife Megan Davison was front and centre ready to support the team, along with the couple’s three-year-old son, Arlo.
She shared a series of gorgeous snaps of she and her son hyping up their husband and father, including little Arlo holding up a home-made sign while inside the stadium.

Alongside the photo and sign, which was filled with multiple photos of Jordan in action and the words: ‘Go Daddy we love you,’ Megan wrote: ‘Come on daddy.’
The so-called Wags also banded together throughout the tournament and ahead of the fame, with little Arlo seen getting a cuddle from Jack Grealish’s girlfriend Sasha Attwood.
In a photo uploaded by Megan, Sasha is seen grinning as she picks up the toddler, who is eating an apple, with Megan labeling it: ‘Arlo and his best friend.’

Captain Harry, meanwhile, was showered in love and support from wife Kate and children Ivy, five, Vivienne, three, and Louis, one.
And, with hours to go to kickoff, Kate shared a snap of one of their daughters dressed in head-to-toe in the England kit, along with the caption: ‘Let’s go daddy!’
And, days after a burglary forced Raheem Sterling to return to England, he was back on the pitch – accompanied by his fiancée and children.
A photo taken by fiancée Paige in the stands minutes before the match kicked off showed her grinning alongside one of their two children, and giving the peace sign.

Anouska Santos, girlfriend of England icon Luke Shaw, also gave the peace sign to the camera as she hung out with son Reign, four, and colleague Mia Walters.
There was disappointment across the board following the result that led to England being knocked out of the cup, however the team continued to be showered with praise by fans.
Pundit Gary Lineker wrote it was ‘heartbreaking once again’ but there was ‘no shame in losing to an excellent French team and congratulations to them.

‘There was so little to choose between the two sides. This fine young @England team gave their all and will only get better. Their time will come.’
Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London, wrote: ‘Commiserations to our brilliant England men’s team. You’ve done our country proud.’
Meanwhile, House of Games’ Richard Osman gave Kane a special shoutout, commenting: ‘That’s football, sometimes it goes against you. Gutted for Harry. Allez Morocco!’
