There have been plenty of debates about the new Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Netflix documentary, but one discussion on This Morning saw Carol Vorderman and Gyles Brandreth clash over their opinions on Harry’s intelligence.
A day after the first three episodes of the documentary series, simply titled Harry & Meghan, was released, the pair were appearing on the breakfast programme when the debate kicked off.
Chatting about how she felt finding out more about Meghan in the series so far, Carol said she had ‘learnt a lot’.
‘I liked her, she is a planner and likes to control things in her life, and I don’t blame her at all,’ she said.
‘She is super intelligent – he [Harry] is nowhere near as intelligent or as intelligent as her and I think they are genuinely in love, and he has now found a purpose.’
However, Gyles quickly jumped in and said he wouldn’t ‘hear a word against him’.

‘I have a son-in-law who was in the Army and was with him in Afghanistan and it was said to me “don’t ever say anything against him, he is a really good person”,’ he added during the tense moment.
Jumping into the discussion, Phillip Schofield also defended Harry.
‘You don’t get to become an Apache [helicopter] pilot and not be bright,’ he said.

Yesterday, Phillip and his co-host Holly Willoughby said that they didn’t think the Royal Family would be too worried due to its lack of ‘bombshells’.
In the series, Harry and Meghan claimed that ‘salacious’ stories were ‘planted’ in the press in the lead-up to their 2018 wedding, as well as allegedly being told it was a ‘rite of passage’ for incoming members of the family to be subjected to backlash, as well as making other revelations about the difficulties they’ve faced in the public eye.
