Ed Sheeran and James Blunt enjoyed a sweet double date with their wives this week – but seemed less than impressed with the chilly London weather.
The pair of hitmakers headed to Gymkhana restaurant and dressed for the cold in large puffer jackets while Ed’s wife Cherry Seaborn and James’ wife Sofia Wellesley rocked fashionable ensembles.
Ed, 31, was snapped emerging from the posh spot in an orange and black bomber jacket that he paired with jeans, white fluorescent high top trainers and a cap.
His friend James, 41, took notes and was also sporting a warm weather coat, jeans and trainers, however his version was a longer parka in beige that had a fur trim around his neck.
The Shivers singer, who is godfather to James’ eldest son, stepped out with wife Cherry, 30, whose outfit included a white low cut top underneath a black leather jacket.
She enhanced her casual yet cool look by pairing the ensemble with silver jewellery and a backpack.

James’s partner Sofia, 39, wrapped up against the winter chill in a long tailored navy coat that featured lapels and a fur lining.
The singer’s spouse wore jeans and knee high red velvet boots as she let her long blonde locks hang loose.
Their joint dinner reservation came after the Bloodstream artist revealed his two-year-old daughter Lyra was born to the sound of James’ Back To Bedlam album.
After knowing James and his wife for several years, Ed confirmed his tight friendship with the Goodbye My Lover singer and his wife.

Ed shared the story of how the soon-to-be parents at the time had James’ 2004 album playing in the delivery room in August 2020 as they awaited the arrival of their first child together.
The award-winning musician offered up details of the birth of his child while co-hosting BBC Radio 2 with Jo Whiley, saying: ‘I actually asked Cherry if it was OK to talk about because it’s such a personal moment. You said what was on the playlist for Lyra’s birth.
‘We both were big fans of James growing up and I’ve been friends with him for a few years. He came on tour with us and Cherry got really close with his wife and we are now very good family friends.
‘And we find it quite weird because we love his music so much. We put on Back to Bedlam in the delivery room and the album finished as Lyra was being delivered.’
James’ 2019 ballad The Greatest also holds a place in the Grammy winner’s heart as it is dedicated to the Bonfire Heart singer’s two sons. Ed is godfather to the eldest.
